Stigi

2015, Performance for three OH-projectors, flute and pre-recorded sounds (with Karin Aurell), 50 min, Skaftfell Centre for the Arts, Seydisfjördur, Island
Stigi is a performance piece for 3 overhead projectors, flute and pre-recorded sounds that I made together with musician Karin Aurell. This work was created during an artist residency at Skaftfell Centre for the Arts in Seydisfjördur, Iceland, in August 2015. The inspiration for the piece came from the constantly changing weather and the eruptive landscape of eastern Iceland. Its narrative was loosely built on the turbulent life of artist Dieter Roth who had a studio in Seydisfjördur until his death 1998.
